Mythos is a design research, strategy, and service design studio that offers qualitative and quantitative research services, rapid prototyping, and concept testing. Primarily operating in the healthcare and sustainability industries, Mythos was established in Summer 2020 and has built their client roster through word of mouth and referrals.
Mythos set out to expand their client roster by producing a bespoke web experience with a new identity as its foundation. With the website’s goal centering around self-serve acquisition and customer education, RCO developed a lightweight identity system accompanied by a microsite featuring case studies and deep dives on Mythos’s respective services.
Modernism and motion meets tradition.
With Mythos’s identity revolving around curiosity, soft modesty, and a spirited attitude, RCO developed a system with bright whites, jewel tones, and 3D packaging to help envision their services as a holistic offering.
Mythos straddles the line between classic and contemporary, which is explored through the type and logo system. The primary typeface is a mix between a sans serif and serif, adding elegance with a sense of modernity. Meanwhile, Mythos’s glyph shifts through its many forms, hearkening to the firm’s flexibility when working with clients.

Ultimately serving as a self-serve acquisition channel, Mythos’s website expands upon their service offerings, going so far as to publishing in-depth case studies that strengthen their position as a design research firm.
Technically speaking, Mythos’s web architecture is powered by a Headless CMS and React, leveraging the power of static site generation and the Jamstack to optimize for SEO.
